Posted - Jul 31 2013 : 1:36:29 PM Just finished reading Thornyhold by Mary Stewart for the third time. Actually, I should say that the first time was the audio version read by Jane Asher. I actually read the library book the second time and most recently dragged out the audio and dusted off the cobwebs. This is my most favorite novel. Not really a mystery. Not really a love story, but a magical book filled with lots of rambling around the British countryside. There's much mention of plants, jelly making, herbal cures, etc. Thornyhold is the sort of place any farm girl would love to live. I just ordered a used copy of the book, as I want it to have a permanent place on my bookshelves. Anyone out there love the book as much as I do?
