Just started reading the first in the "Home to Harmony" series by Phillip Gulley. These books are about a small town pastor, his town, and the people that live there (somewhat like the Jan Karon series). I absolutely love the way he writes...it's hilarious, and addictive.

It seems like each of the chapters ends with a wonderful thought/quote. Here are some I've really enjoyed:

"Sometimes we come to gratitude too late. It's only after the blessing has passed on that we realize what we had." (Read this Saturday...the day our dog was hit and killed on the road...it really hit home.)

"The leaves of our blessed lives fall to the ground and if we're wise we gather them in a pile and keep them safe lest the winds of forgetfulness blow them away."

Just thought I'd share, this book is just what I need right now,
Ashley

The one I am reading now is called "A Change of Heart". They go pretty fast so I should start getting a couple more waiting to be read. I am sure enjoying this second one too.

Jenny -- these are the BEST books. I'm going to have to re-read all of them. The Mitford books are great too. I'm working my way through them. Gotta go to the library tomorrow to pick up a couple more that came plus the latest Harmony book. YEAH!

I was going to order this series, but it does not seem to come in a set, so what is the order that they were written. Want to make sure I read the first one first.

I've read these also. They are wonderful. You might also enjoy the Mitford Series by Jan Karon.
