Have any of you read One Thousand White Women by Jim Fergus? I don't usually care for male authors, but this was a great book. It's about the American West and Native Indians. The decline of one culture and the increase of another.
I just got a copy of "These is My Words" and love it. Maybe some of you would like this book also. It has book discussion questions in the back.

I read 1000 WW a few years ago and absolutely loved it at first. I think it took a downturn. though. and I became disappointed in it toward the end. I really liked The Wild Girl, I think by the same author. I never heard of These Is My Words, but will definitely check it out if I can! I really love getting book tips like this! |

I read 1000 WW and did not like it. Didn't seem believable.
These is My Words & the 2 following are very good books.

Just got the second book in the series at the library and can't wait to start it. They have the 3rd also.

Thanks Tina, I'm hoping the library here has all three. I'm not quite finished with These is My Words. I'm enjoying it immensely.

wonderful book , as is "these is my words", and if you did not know, it is part of a trio, and its the continueing story, loved all three...
