Two of my favorite series are the Mitford series by Jan Karon and the Elm Creek quilting series by Jennifer Chiaverini. They are just so cozy and feel good reads! The Elm Creek series are a must read for die hard quilters and wanna bees and the Mitford series are just the sweetest Christian reads set in a mythical town called Mitford and its dedicated clergy and the odd assortment of characters that make up Mitford.

The problem is I start one book and something reminds me of the other series and then I put it down to pick up the other...sigh, there are just NOT enough hours to do all the reading I want to do!

Aspiring Titus II and Proverbs 31 Lady.

I just found the Rocky Creek series in Christian Romance. I checked out the first three and have almost finished the second book in 3 days! They take place around the old west time frame. Good reads also.

LOVE the Jennifer Chiaverini series...had most of them but had to leave them all behind :( Mitford I read but they are not really my thing...likable but for me that's it. Elm Creek series by Jennifer I can read and read again...

I have read all the Chiaverini books and agree that they are amazing reads. I'll have to check out the Mitford Series and I also love all the books by Beverly Lewis.

Lessie, you wont be disappointed! I came across a Country Woman magazine in our local fabric store (quilters paradise!) and I read an article written about the author and ran out and got the first book. Jennifer not only writes stories centered on Elm Creek quilters she IS a quilter. She even makes her own fabric designs. I think you'll fall in love with her books!

I so agree! I use my library card until it's worn out! I'll check out the Elm Creek series. Thank you
