I just finished reading The Autobiography of Mrs. Tom Thumb. I really enjoyed the novel. Author is Melanie Benjamin. The book was enlightening ! I would recommend it.

Well, Margo..there is quite a bit in the story about Charles Stratton also. I had heard of him; but, never knew a thing about him. I think it's fun to read about long ago relatives..even if they are shoe string.

i'm not related to vinnie but to her husband, charles-and i was right when i said distant! i am charles stratton's 18th cousin twice removed on my grandfather's side....
i still will enjoy reading about lavinia's life! (btw i think that's a pretty name!)
