Have any of you read the Good Pig? It's a delightful new book about a woman who loves animals and adopts a runt pig. His adventures are hilarious and he lives a long life at 700 pounds! I can't remember the author but just google it.

You are certainly right Prairiehawk. We had pigs on the farm when I was little and luckily we had some land to let them roam but I sure wouldn't want one (especially that big in town. But they are surely cute when they are little.

I read this book from the library a couple years ago--that pig sure had a lot of adventures! And friends. The only pig I've ever had was a guinea pig. I know of some people who have pot-bellied pigs. I dunno, if I had a pet pig like the author did, I'd be afraid to let it wander through the town--someone might get hungry for bacon!
