Posted - Feb 11 2012 : 07:29:09 AM Has anyone read her books. She is quite prolific and I am currently reading "The Last Girls" about a group of girls who took a raft down the Mississippi in 1965 and are meeting up 30 years later for a reunion.
I am really enjoying it. Reminds me a lot of Anne Rivers Siddons style. Michele

Lee Smith is a wonderful writer and a very nice person. She lives in my state (NC)and I have attended writing workshops where she has served on panel discussions. Have you read Fair and Tender Ladies and On Agate Hill? Very good books.
