Has anyone read her books. She is quite prolific and I am currently reading "The Last Girls" about a group of girls who took a raft down the Mississippi in 1965 and are meeting up 30 years later for a reunion.

I am really enjoying it. Reminds me a lot of Anne Rivers Siddons style.

Hello Michele,

Lee Smith is a wonderful writer and a very nice person. She lives in my state (NC)and I have attended writing workshops where she has served on panel discussions. Have you read Fair and Tender Ladies and On Agate Hill? Very good books.

I've not heard of her. But I love hearing about others who have read different books and like them. I'll check this one at amazon. I love reading good books.
