Got a "Nook" tablet for Christmas- yay!
Just downloaded and started to read the book
"BarnHeart: The Incurable Longing for a Farm of Ones Own" by Jenna Woginrich- she is the author of the book "Made from Scratch- Discovering the Pleasures of a Handmade Life" which was an excellent book.
I really enjoy her writing- something a farmgirl can certainly relate to.
Will let you know how the book is- I'm only about 20 pages into it but so far it is REALLY good!
Thought I would pass this along.

Absolutely LOVED this book! Glad to see someone writing a memoir that is about love for a lifestyle instead of a man! She's also really made me want sheep to go with my border collie...

The book sounds very interesting. An heirloom seed giveway! I'll check the blog. Thanks Kris.

She's having an heirloom seed give away on her blog right now. Y'all go enter. They're giving away 5 seed starter sets.

I love her blog. I have learned so much from her. She inspired me to get sheep again.

Read both her books and loved them! The author is very honest, funny, self-depreciating and knowledgeable. I will check out her blog too. Dianne in the Hudson Valley

I bought the book before Christmas and loved it. I'm hoping to get "Made From Scratch" soon. I totally understood her longing to get her own farm and envied her when she did.

Cool Laurie - please do share your thoughts. I really liked her first book and did not know she had another one out. That's why I love this forum:)
