Here are some questions to think about and discuss for Anne of Windy Poplars.
Warning: There may be spoilers in the questions or answers, so if you haven't read the book yet and you are reading this discussion, be prepared to be informed!
Feel free to answer any or all of the questions. These are discussion questions, so there are no right or wrong answers. If you have your own questions you want to ask, feel free!

1) This book is written in an epistle style (which just means that it is a series of letters). This book was written many years after the completion of the series to fill in the time between Anne graduating and them marrying. Do you like this style of book? Why or why not?

2) The Pringle situation is an interesting one. Do you think that this type of social boycotting is still possible today?

3) Describe your feelings about Elizabeth and her storyline.

4) Do you think Miss Minerva Tomgallon really did want to be in a book?

5) LM Montgomery began adding a faithful observer character in the last book with Aunt Jimsie and continnues that in this book with Rebecca Dew. How important is it to the story to have that outside character that observes all that Anne does?

6) Katherine Brooke (with a K!) is a great character. Describe her life in your own words.

7) Windy Poplars is Anne's new home away from home in this novel. Describe your favorite feature in this new location? (feature of the house or landmark outside)

8) Hazel Marr is believed to have been modelled after a real live relationship of LM Montgomery's. While the real relationship was much longer term and more complicated than the Hazel Marr story, it strikes a cord in all of us who hate to be misunderstood. How do you deal with the Hazel Marr person in your life?

9) Name your favorite character and describe why you like them so much.

10) Your favorite quote:
