For those of you that read Kindle books, Amazon has a great sale going on, called their Sunshine sale. They have over 600 ebooks priced from .99 to 2.99---many by major publishers and writers. I would post the URL but it's really long---if you go to Amazon.com and then click on the ebooks section, the sunshine deals are linked across the top of the page.

I know some folks don't care for ebook versions---but for those that do, this is a great time to pick up some cheap summer reads. The sale ends June 15.

Kathleen- I purchased your book yesterday and plan to start it tonight. I'm looking forward to a good read.
Holly- I've been re reading the classics off the free kindle list. Just finished "Uncle Tom's Cabin" for the first time. Then I went on line and found some writings about the book. I live in the south and have read lots of books about the pre civil war period and slavery but that one really made me think. Especially considering when and why it was written. My point is there are some really great free books! I'll have to look more often.

Deborah--Thanks for considering the book! I hope it works for you when the time is right. There's nothing like finding a good literary match for these summer days and nights! I hope you get some time off from school during the summer.

Hi Connie, that is so interesting--I think every family has secrets and it's so amazing how we all sort of just go along with them even if there's a sliver of question there--families are powerful! For good and for bad! I hope you like the book! And yes, you better get to those family members while they're still alive. Maybe one of them has a stack of letters under the floor-boards!

Just as another Kindle note too. Thanks for the sunshine tip - I purchased several. The free books have been over the top this past month or so. In fact, I noticed a lot of the sunshine titles were formerly free books. I make it a point to check daily, as new titles are added - and can be added daily. The first of the month is big too. I think they added 8-10 new free books just yesterday. So, buy, buy, buy the free ones and just make a folder system to store them until you're ready to read.

Yea! Kathleen I wondered if your book would be on sale. I will get it! I've read all the posts about it and think it is something I NEED to read. There are secrets in my mothers family I have not been able to crack. No one will talk. So many have already passed. I'm looking for new ways to think about the situation and I feel from what I've read the book will be a comfort to me.
Thanks for letting me know!

Hi Deborah! My book isn't in this bunch of sunshine specials, but it is on sale in the kindle store! I don't know if you like historical fiction, but if you do, it's called The Last Letter and it's just .99 right now!

Thanks Deborah! I'm on a budget so I haven't been on Amazon and would have never known there was a sale.
I'll stock up!
