Does anyone have the entire series of Miss Read books? I would love to read them, but don't really want to buy them all. Does anyone know if there is such a thing as an online library? That would be totally awesome if there was such a thing. A Netflix for books.

I have read these stories over and over again. I recently found some at Value Village. Not many people seem to have heard of Miss Read. I love all the domestic details and the village goings on!

Ooooh...I love them too! Especially if I "read" them as a book on tape narrated by a reader with a British accent. Dianne in the Hudson Valley

Sarah, I had to chuckle when I read your response.."my collection are all like friends". I feel the same way!! Some of them even get a little hug when I've finished reading!! Book swaps..no way!! Kindle..not a chance!!

At our public library they are on a lone system with the Houston Public Library System. If our small library doesn't have a book they order it from Houston, so it make almost anything available.

Mary, they are so wonderfully British. Very reserved and gentle humor, but fantasticly sarcastic and ironic. I love them so far.

Elaine, I don't think I can do that. I read a lot, but I only buy books I love, and so my collection are all like friends. I couldn't just swap them out. <sigh> oh well, I'll figure it out.

I am a huge fan! I read most of mine from the public library - they are also on books on tape at my library. So gentle and pleasant
