It has been suggested that I start a book club for farmgirls interested in reading (or re-reading) the Little House on the Prairie books by Laura Ingalls Wilder. I hope lots of you will join us!

Here is a rough plan.....we will read one book a month starting with Little House in the Big Woods in June. I will come up with a list of projects we can do to go along with each book.

If you are one of those farmgirls who is unable to go on the Farmgirls on the Loose Little House trip, then this is the next best thing!!

Please reply below to join us, or send me a message if you have any questions.

I'm getting a late start but would like to join the group. I've never read the Little House books but now is as good as anytime. I did get to join the tour for one stop, Little House museum in Independence Ks. It was inspiring to see what life must have been like back in that time period.

I never actually read them. I watched the show all the time when I was little. And once for a school project I dressed up as laura...I kind of look liked like the actress.

OK....two more days! Saturday morning I will start a new topic entitled "Little House on MJF Book #1" here in the Reading Room forum. The first post will be a list of project ideas for the first book. I am hoping that people will post pictures to show their projects. If you are not sure how to do that, go to the "Technical Support" forum for directions. Be sure to subscribe to the new topic so that you get an email notification when people post messages.

Until Saturday farmgirls.......

I'm really hoping that I am not to late to start re-reading the Little House on the Prairie books and do the projects. I can't tell you how much I love these books and have my granddaughter hooked on them now.
Thanks,
Kathleen

My kids and I saw the Little House Musical in St. Paul last year. Melissa Gilbert was a great "Ma!" Although, she isn't much of a singer, so that part was weaker than the others (just one solo), but all in all is was a great production!
