I just read this book this week, by Chris Cleave. It's told from two points of view, there are some issues in it that may not be for everyone, but it gives a view of the human cost of our thirst for cheap oil. Very thought-provoking

What a coincidence! I have it on my "to-read" pile. I'm finishing The Help. Very well written and insightful about the civil rights movement in the early 1960s. Dianne
