Has anyone read it? I'm almost done. Nice story about a mute boy who believes his father's death wasn't an accident. His family breeds and trains their own breed of dogs. Never knew it was such a big job. I'm at the part where he is on the lam because,... well, don't want to spoil it for anyone else.

Finished it yesterday,...and well, I don't like how it ends. But won't say more in case anyone else wants to read it.

I wanted to like this book but just didnt. I read it all but there was just something about it. I found it really hard to keep my interest. Practically had to force myself to finish it. There were somethings I just didnt get and that were never explained. I like a good "mystery" in a book but at some point the reader should understand what is going on and I never felt like I really did.

I have been reading it off and on for awhile. Not done yet. I like it. The reason I don't finish it is I keep stopping to read the neighborhood book club pick. But, I pick it back up and read more.
