Here are the rules for this book club:
We have to read one Jane Austen book every 2 months. If you finish before that its fine I just want us to have plenty of room in case something comes up.
We will read 4 to 5 chapters and then discuss it. Like what we like, didn't like, ect..
And I'm thinking that's it.
Here is the book list so you all know. We will read in the order they are put.
Sense and Sensibilty
Pride and Prejudice
Mansfield Park
Emma
Northhanger Abbey
Persuasion
Lady Susan
And last but not least just have fun!!!

Well I began Pride and Prejudice because it is my favorite and just figured I would check in here and see if anyone had posted anything about Sense and Sensibility. I am not sure how well I will be able to keep up as we are hitting the last quarter of school and it is fast and running...heheheh but I will try.

I'm about 1/2 through, Been busy with mom. But start the discussions if everyone else is ready. Will you set a time so we all know when discussion is? Oh do we just post and go on and wait for the next one to post?

That sounds good to me! It would probably bring up questions just by discussion. Whatever way that is decided, will be ok with me.

well I would, bu things have been a bit busy. How about we just share what we have enjoyed about what we are reading. I don't think discussion has to be about questions all the time.

well I have finished the book :) I took it with me when I had some school events to take tickets at...made the time go faster so I can discuss whenever...hehehe

Delicia, Try your best and read as much of it as you can. We read one Jane Austen book every 2 months so we have lots of time in between in case something comes up.

Oh, do not like her either! She is such a snob and John is like her 'puppy dog'. With the 1st question, I didn't think about the mother, Mrs. Dashwood. She seems kind, gentle spirited. Doing her best to raise 3, very different in temperment, young ladies. Trying to stay strong and do the best she can! I like her! Enjoy reading!

You ladies are sweet. I guess I would have to be a mix of Elinor and Marianne. :)
The more I have been reading the more I dislike Mrs.John Dashwood. She is so self centered and thinks only of her self. And her husband does what ever she says. A man like that would drive me crazy!! I must say that I dislike her very much. Does anyone else agree?
So lets try and finish this book this month and go on to the next. If you find something intreasting while you are reading and whould like to talk about just post. :)
