I ordered 3 books from Amazon and got them all last week. The first book is the Pioneer Woman's cookbook. I LOVE it! Love all the pictures and stories. Step by step pics of all her recipes and what they look like finished. It's great. Then Women of the Harvest. Inspiring stories of contemporary farmers. Mary Jane wrote the forward. It's a really pretty book with great pictures and stories, too. Then The Prairie Girl's Guide to Life by Jennifer Worick. A small compact book with all kinds of great advice and tips on how to make everything from food to quilts.

The other day I went to a Christian book store looking for a good devotional. I found The Simple Life by Wanda Brunstetter. Its devotional thoughts from Amish country with recipes! Really good recipes. And very simple. There are several I'm going to try.

Isn't it the neatest little devotional? I love all the recipes, too. The one on page 110 looks really easy and good. I'll make that next time Truckin' Man's home.

Our Thanksgiving was good. Wat too much food. I always get a stomach ache after I eat. It's all that rich food. We don't cook like that normally so I guess my stomach's just not used to it and gets all out of whack for awhile. But it's better the next day. so we can go shopping and to Red Lobster. It's a family tradition. All the women go out by ourselves for the day. But I'm all back to normal for awhile now. Everyone's gone and it's just me. I like that! Hope yours was good, too.
