Any farmgirls have books from the Outlander series they'd like to trade for another book or barter? I have book six, but not the first five. I can't start in on book six!!!!

Funny! I actually stayed up until all hours of the night to have uninterrupted reading (I have four kids) and lugged those books around everywhere. I felt that way with Clan of the Cavebear, but it has been a long time since I fell in love with a book - much less a series.

I know Tiffany! When I first started reading these books, I would neglect everything around me - school work, studying, homework, & try to force myself to stay up past 10 pm to read them (it didn't work very well!). Even now, after I've had them for a while, I still don't get a whole lot done!

OOOOhhhh I'm so happy I found fellow Gabaldon friends! I started this series and fell in love! I recently read An Echo in the Bone and I just bought the Outlandish Companion. For the first 3 books, I didn't get anything done around the house. My family thought I'd lost my mind~ I was lost for days.

Brenda: Right now I'm just reading the 7th one. I lent the 1st one to my friend & need to get it back soon. Maybe next wknd. I usually only read at night too, unless {for some odd reason} I have nothing else to do. Reading usually makes me tired, even if I'm sitting up in the middle of the day or early morning! So I just read at night. And when I was in school, there were a lot of nights I didn't even finish a page!

Melissa: This is an awesome series. I think it's my most favorite series ever. And {just a warning} since the books are huge (close to 1000 pages for each one), it takes a long time to get through them (which is good for me) but they are so intriguing & captivating & attention getting. I don't even know how to describe them...time travelling, historical, romance, fiction....Check out her site (although, I don't think it's incredibly informative for a person who hasn't read the books. http://www.cco.caltech.edu/~gatti/gabaldon/gabaldon.html or www.dianagabaldon.com or even Wikipedia). Hope this helps!

Pam,
We should keep in touch here and see how we're doing!
Are you reading the whole series again, or just going for reading the 7th one?
I'm almost through with the 2nd book, I usually only read at night- too busy- but once in a while I will take a day and read all day long! ;)
At this rate it will be spring before I get to An Echo in the Bone!

I'm the same as you, Brenda...I need to re-read them first before I start the last one lol. Or I read it, but then I read the series from the beginning, and by the time I get to the last book again, I've forgotten most of it lol. I just got the 7th book this wknd - I'm so excited! lol

I started Outlander today.... for the 4th time, lol!!! Because I pre-ordered An Echo in the Bone I feel I have to read them all again!!! I'm like that with series though. I don't mind, I love the whole series and will probably read them many more times!
Now, I will see how far I've got in the series by the time my new book arrives!

Hi Cherry,

I have the first three in the series which are Outlander-Dragonfly in Amber and Voyager. If you want them, send me your address and I will get them out to you. They are all in good condition and were very good books.
Take care,
Marcy
