I just finished reading "One Second After" by William R. Forstchen. This is not the type of book I usually read, but it was recommended to me by a friend on a food storage blog.

The story is about a man who struggles to save his family after an enemy of the U.S. detonates a nuclear bomb up high in the atmosphere. It causes an Electromagnetic Pulse that wipes out just about all cars and anything electric. Pretty much everything in modern society breaks down, with devastating consequences. Sort of an "end times" fiction. The scary part is that an EMP can actually happen.

Have you read it?
