Took it to my table while I had my coffee and was fascinated - couldn't put it down. I think it will be the next Foxfire book I get. Farmgirl Sister #98

I requested it at my local library just now. :-) The Foxfire books have a special place in my heart. I have a battered old copy of the first book, given to my late mother (who died when I was six) by my father long ago. It is one of the few things of hers I have. When I read things like it makes me feel closer to her. She was a proud homemaker and definitely was a Farmgirl in her heart. Sheep Mom 2	Posted - May 01 2009 : 9:10:58 PM I don't know how many Foxfire books were published - I think I have 6 or 7 from the 1970's. It's been a model for many programs. Our school district here participated in the Foxfire project and my kids went and interviewed older folks around here who were among the first homestead families (Washington's a pretty young state). I think it's a great way to preserve our history and the ways of the past. Sheri
