Posted - Apr 13 2009 : 1:22:20 PM @Aunt Jenny - I read My Sister's Keeper a couple of years ago. I liked it quite well until the end, which I felt was completely contrived for reader reaction moreso than character development. But, that's just me.
(More recently, I read Picoult's Nineteen Minutes, about the aftermath of a school shooting. As a public school teacher, there's still a quite a bit of that book that I'm wrestling with in my brain. I know you're a teacher as well...you might find it to be another thought-provoking read.)

Posted - Apr 13 2009 : 10:42:36 AM I love Jodi Picoult's books. I am always amazed at how she c an find such unique voices and personalities for wach of the characters. Even if I disagree with their individual outlooks I can always understand hoe they got there. I just finished "Handle with Care" surprise ending there as well. Michele

Posted - Apr 12 2009 : 10:30:04 PM Really liked this book, it was one of my former book club reads and we had very good discussions, so good we even wound up talking more about it the next month. She makes each chapter a cliff hanger, that's why you can't put it down!
