This is a series of books, 2 out of 7 so far, for girls, I'd say upper elementary to jr. high, but as a 30 year old I'd say they'd work for women and maybe some guys, too. It's a great series about taking care of the earth and even though the girls in the books have "super powers" they really made me think about some things that I hadn't considered before. The first 4 books will be introducing each of the Gaia Girls and then the last 3 will be of them working together to protect the earth from what people do to it. I'm really looking forward to the next book coming out!

You go, Gaia Girl! I would love to read this series. I'm currently reading "Ecopsychology"--not the most exciting read, but written in a language I understand. I earned my degree in psychology some twenty years ago, but didn't attend graduate school cause the field I wanted to study didn't exist--now it does, but mainly on the East and West coasts. I want to write a fiction novel set in the not-too-distant future, when living "green" will be the norm--there is a whole new sub-genre of green literature--here's to all the Gaia girls and Gaia guys--peace to all who share the Earth...

Thanks for letting us know about them.

I teach middle school science, so I will definitely be checking them out!
