I am reading a fantastic book right now I thought I would share with you. It is called "Made from Scratch-Discovering the Pleasures of a Handmade Life". The author is Jenna Woginrich.
It is the author's account of becoming more self-sufficient, learning some of the skills that many people have forgotten how to do. It offers a lot of helpful advice. But, even if you are already an expert, it is a really funny and entertaining story in and of itself.
Cheers!

I'm down to the very last chapter and don't want to finish it! Great book. Love the chicken names, especially.

Jenna, I visited your blog, and I love the saying "mountain musicians eat free..... Kind of like country preachers......

I want to look up the music you mention. Sounds great.

Guess what? The doorbell just rang, and it was the UPS man with the book! I have my two little grands with me today, and we are all looking at it, and they love the pictures and even asked if you were a farmgirl! They know!

Sounds great! I'm requesting it from our library. Thanks.

While looking for it I found: Made from scratch : reclaiming the pleasures of the American hearth by Jean Zimmerman. I may get that one too.
