....to have read 'Twilight'??? Wow. I just finished the first book, and it was so good! I thought for sure I wouldn't like it, since it was geared for teenagers, but it was fantastic! Now, on to the second! Good news is, by the time I am ready for the fouth, I won't have to wait like the others who finished the third so long ago!!!

She wasn't nearly as upset as I thought she would be. She understood..which is a rare happening for an almost 14 year old girl I am finding out! She was happy that I gave her a book I had just finished to read (Stone Forest by Karen Harper) that was a mystery.

Good choice, Jenny. I think if it was a movie, it would be PG-13, which is a little much for a young teen. You're right; her friends will tell her about it anyway!

I told my daughter that she didn't need to read this one. Her friends will tell her about it, but she can just hold off ..thanks laluna...I DO still have some say over what she reads. She is growing up fast enough!

Ok, now 3/4 done with the last one....I'm a bit disappointed at this point, though. Hope it takes a turn....

Don't worry, I won't spoil it, but I can't wait to see what you think. All I'll say is that for many reasons, it's my least favorite book of the saga.

Okay...I found the last copy at Walmart yesterday! I NEVER read this type of book but y'all have convinced me to try it. Plus, if I don't like it I can give it to my daughter who loves books of this genre. Thanks to you gals....I'm "steppin outside my comfort level" which is good!

I saw Stephanie Meyers interviewed on "CBS Sunday Morning". Very interesting how the story came to her in a dream!

Just bumping this up because I finished reading Breaking Dawn over the weekend and have lots to say about it! Anyone?

Molly, I might just be the last one to hear about the series. I just bought a copy of Twilight yesterday after reading about it here, I'd never heard of it before. And my local bookstore is having a party on Friday night to celebrate the release of the latest book of that series. I was telling my aunt about it yesterday and she works at the University's library and said all her co workers were reading the books and excited about them. I can't wait to get started on it.

Just had to mention that I read Stephenie Meyers' first "adult" novel, The Host, over the weekend, and I loved it even more than the Twilight series (though I'm still planning on picking up the fourth installment of it, Breaking Dawn, next weekend when it's released)!

A friend recommended the series to me for me first, then my daughter (12).She loved them and found them to be very sweet (vampire) love stories. Go figure. There is a waiting list of 300+ names at the public library for these books! Guess I'll have to buy it/them if we want to get them read... Molly, loved the comment about "neglecting all chores and personal hygine"... that's so funny!! When you gotta read, you gotta read!

For those interested in or wondering about Twilight, I recommend taking a look at the author's (Stephenie Meyers) website: http://www.stepheniemeyer.com/twilightseries.html Enjoy!

I loved These Is My Words. Womderful book. I just read today that Twilight has been made into a movie, with the actor who played Cedric Diggory in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire as the lead. Of course, I have no idea what Twilight is, except the article said it is a vampire love story. But anyway, it sounded interesting.

The best book I have ever read is, "These Is My Words", (you'll understand the oddity of the title when you begin the book) by Nancy E. Turner. I recommend this book to anyone who loves to read. There are two books that follow this one, sequals.

I haven't read it either.

I've read them all except for the new one out Aug. 2. I would say--as usual--the first one is the best. Only my opinion. The actors picked for the movie version are certaintly now my vision of the players in the book. I probably wouldn't see the movie anyway. MB

Oh Molly, I just read all three Twilight series books at the start of my summer vacation, on the recommendation of several of my students (I teach middle school English) and I loved them!! I'm really looking forward to the final installment in a couple of weeks (but not so sure about the movie version (of Twilight) coming out later this year).
