After two very strong recommendations from friends that I needed to watch this movie, I finally rented it today. My, my! For those that are unfamiliar, the movie explores Quantum physics; the layman's defination that I can understand translates to "field of possibilities", in a most interesting story. It explores the power of thought and new ways of being in the world and the connection between science and spirituality. I particularly liked the explaination given by one gentleman that the secret to life was not to be in the "know", but to live in the mystery. And I am going to explore the pact that was mentioned by Joe Dispenza, which I find particularly interesting.
I know Patricia's husband (utahfarmgirl) is lecturing on this movie soon, and Kim (thehandmaiden) have both seen the movie. So much food for thought. Anyone else seen this movie or care to comment on your experiences of it?

DG, your ideas about our origins are interesting and I have heard them before. Since there's not much data for or against, I'm keeping an open mind. The moon lives were definitely a progression, but who knows? There are people who think we never went to the moon at all. I haven't read Earth Chronicles, though it sounds interesting.

I only see consciousness (energy) as constantly creating. So, how can that ever be finite? If you can explain this theory to me, I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks, Diane

OK, here goes:
Each word, each thought, each idea is an individual thing. A tree is a tree and nothing else; a finite concept.

Let's go a little bit further to concepts such as "everything" and "all". You can't have more than everything. There is nothing more than all.

In the same way, the universe, or existance, or God (or whatever word you choose) is something finite. You can not have more than what is.

This cycle of the universe started with a big bang. No matter how much energy was contained, there was only "so much". Since the time of the big bang, which we estimate to be something like 14 billion years ago, the universe has expanded. At some future point in time the universe will run out of energy to expand, and gravity and other attractive forces will take over, and the universe will start to collapse, and eventually the cycle will start again, kind of like a big slinky. Now, when you add the fact that we know of at least 10 other universes existing in the dimension of space (there appears to only be one dimension of time), and the fact that all these universes are constantly interacting, what word could you use to explain the enormity of all this? We have chosen infinite, but the bottom line is, no matter how big or incomprehensible it all is, there is only "so much" stuff. I hope this gives you a clearer idea of what I'm taking about. As to reality, we don't know if there really is something "out there", and each individual simply has their own perception of it; therefore creating a personal reality, or if what happens is the opposite of this; there is nothing out there and no suh thing as perception; we each create an individual reality, and these individual realities "combine" to form the universe, or God, or whatever word you want to choose. My OPINION would be that is the first case scenario that is the valid one, but no one KNOWS the answer.

Best,
Stu

Hi Patricia! Thank you for the reply to my question. It did help me a lot. I have read (and heard) that the history of our solar system is not the way we perceive it currently on earth. Actually, earth is the "last bastian" of settlement. Our original ancestors have migrated through the solar system for eons, and have finally landed here. Do you know about the pyramids on Mars? I am guessing that you do. At any rate, Mars was our last "neighborhood" before coming to this planet. There are thousands of Mars' references in our cultures and languages due to our affiliation with Mars. We have had numerous lives on other planets during our soul history. One book that I loved was intitled Earth Chronicles. If you have read it, I would love to talk about it with you, since you get regressions from "aliens". I was wondering if the reading you got about the moon people was a past life one, and not a future one.

Utahfarmgirl Posted - Oct 04 2005 : 3:30:06 PM
Hi DG ~ Actually, I have had experience with alternate lives. I used to do regressions with people (don't anymore, takes too much time and is too boring to me - not to them!) and several times people experienced lives not in this reality.

A few were forward in time, a colony on the moon. Interesting since those people didn't know each other. Some were on other worlds, in other forms. (God has many worlds. How arrogant of us to think we're the only "intelligent" ones). Some were animal lives (when our soul decides it wants to do something, have an experience, learn a lesson, whatever, it chooses the vehicle that will suit its needs best. Sometimes it's human, sometimes it's animal, sometimes it's a tree or an "alien". As I said, soul is limitless).

I also know about several of my own alternate lives being lived right now, and some of them surprised me. One "me" died a few years ago. That was strange. The reason we don't consciously know about our alternates is twofold: 1, at this point in human development, that knowledge is a lot for us to handle and 2. there's not much point. Our "oversoul" or higher self, or plain old soul has all that knowledge that we have access to as we need it. Sometimes we never need it.

Does that answer your question? If not, let me know.

Stu is lying down. He did a lot of driving today in the pouring rain. He'll answer you tonight or tomorrow. I have to teach (animal communication) tonight, we had lunch with Aunt Jenny and my daughter Christina. Busy day and wonderful times. Jenny gave me homemade canned fruit and jams and soaps and loaned me the book we're supposed to read for the book club. (looks interesting) and I gave her some Snackeesacks, surprises for her kids, magazines, and a couple of surprises. We took photos which she's going to upload because I haven't a clue as to how to do it. She's wonderful. I feel like I've met another sister.

Love,
Patricia

Patricia, I also wanted to write to you, because I have always been fascinated by the concept of living simultaneous lives. I have always "felt" this, and yet I feel that my alternate life or one of them) is not of this world. I have had dreams about images that do not seem earthlike to me, and sometimes get the feeling of being about two feet off the ground. Have you had any experiences with alternate lives in other dimensions?

Stu here...

All realities occur similtaneously, as you state, however, I believe infinity is actually a finite concept.

God, the universe, (or what ever you want to call it), only contains so much "stuff"; in other words, you can't have infinity plus one, or God plus one. We only use the term infinite because the number of possibilities is so enormous that it can't conceived by the human mind.

I'm not certain that free will truely exists, for to some degree genetic programing plays a role in each individuals thoughts and feelings, and the actions taken because of them.

DG 7954 ~ Wow, I feel like I could have written your post, lol!! Your comments reflect my beliefs exactly (which, of course, makes them very profound, lol).

As a psychic, I want to say, you have it exactly right. I always tell my clients, what we see is the outcome to the situation you're asking about based on what is going on right now. If you don't like what I tell you about where it's going, you can change it. That IS the purpose of a psychic reading. Stu always says scientifically, a reader "tunes in" like tuning in a radio.

It also explains how I can see and talk to "dead people" and pets. I once had a spirit tell me, "I've never been more alive!" Spirit is multi-dimentional (the work of Jane Roberts and the SEth material is excellent for understanding this), which means we exist in more than just this physical body. We are limitless. If one aspect of us in this reality comes to a crossroad and chooses to go straight, another is turning left, and another is turning right, just to experiences what is on those paths. Can you imagine what that means? At every "intersection" of life, we branch off, learning, having experiences and growing. It's hard to comprehend but then, who said humans were all that evolved?

I've actually talked to one of my "other" mes. I remember it was a very good experience. The feeling of unconditional love was the strongest I've ever experienced. It was kind of like talking to the one who loves you the most, basking in all that love. I asked her if she had a sense of humor. She laughed and said, "Do YOU have a sense of humor?"

These different realities or dimensions is also the answer to "deja vu". You feel you've been somewhere or seen something before because "you" have.

Ain't life interesting?

Thank you for this topic too, Clare. I loved this movie. I saw it twice in the theatre, and actually cried through it. I was so grateful that someone made the effort to explain Quantum Physics in a way everyone could understand. I just want to add a note that, in my interpretation, the idea of the observer is as follows: As in the movie, on the basketball court, one has an infinite number of realities to chose from, all occurring similtaneously. In the film, as soon as one "chooses" a reality, it becomes his immediate perception of his reality. This does not mean that all of the other scenarios stop existing. They go on to lead to different outcomes. They are just not the one that the individual chose. The dimension that is considered the earthly plane is a collective consiousness of reality. In other words, many souls have "voted" so to speak to agree on a similar reality. This is not the only reality that exists, however. In the movie, the main character in the theatre scene observes the other possibilities that she may have chosen. It makes the point that, according to choice and perception, the outcome to anything can change. When psychics tap into our collective consiousness, they see a scenario of one choice (the one that the person is most likely to experience based on their current choices of their reality). This is the whole purpose of a psychic reading. Because of free will, if one is informed of a likely outcome, they can decide to change it. The reading is based on "if all things remain the same," meaning that if one continues to chose the same perception, the outcome will continue through that particular scenario. If one decides to chose a different path, the outcome will change.

As for "God," I believe God to be the creative source of all consciousness. I do not believe that God is a separate entity that judges, punishes, or rewards. God energy is in everything that exists in all dimensions of consciousness. We all carry within out physical "vessels" God energy, so we are all God. When we cross over, we return to the greater collective energy we came from. Energy is consciousness, therefore our individual perceptions continue on the other side. If we expect to see Heaven, we will. If we expect to see Hell, we will. Our perceptions dictate our reality and, therefore, are as individual as we are.

Hi, Stu here...

I do not believe what is commonly called time travel is a physical experience. I believe it is one of thought.

Science now has become aware that there are at least 10 different dimensions of space, and one of time. In this plane of existance, we experience 3 of space, and one of time.

In other planes of existance, there may be any number of experiences of space, but just one of time.....in essence, it's time that ties all the planes of existance together. In sleep you become unaware of this particular plane of existance.

You, in essence, "travel" to another plane of existance through thoughts, as all the planes are connected by the singular entity known as time.

In other words, because all the different planes of existance are interconnected by the entity we call time, "in reality" time does not exist!

Thanks for asking. Keep the questions coming!

Hi, it's Stu. I'll try and answer your question as best I can.

First, every individual's beliefs are based on a combination of things; genetics, experiences and the perceptions created because of them.

I am a scientist, so I have a view that is primarilly anti-theistic. I also prefer to use semantics which relate to science and physics, rather than metaphysics and spirituality

A theistic view of the universe makes God a seperate entity; a first cause and the prime mover of everything. I simply cannot agree with this view. God, or what I prefer to call "What Is" is more like the sum total of all existance. (I do not like using the word God, because if you ask 1000 different people what it means, you will get 1000 different answers, rendering the word meaningless).

To my mind everything is made up of energy, which has two basic aspects; particle and wave. Particle is what makes up matter or physical reality, and wave is analogous to pure thought, or the connective aspect of existance.

Everything that exists, both annimate and inanimate is inter-connected and affects everything else.

There are two basic and conflicting views as to what reality truely is: I'll call the first the "outside in" view; the idea that we create everything with our minds; in effect, reality does not exist.

The second is what I'll call the "inside out" view; that there is some ultimate absolute cosmic reality (which some would call God), but all we can have is a personal perception of it.

We do not know if it is the part of you which you would call the soul, or the physical part of you that is actually doing the observing. All we do know is, all observance is simply perception, and that by changing your personal views, you can change YOUR reality.

We really do NOT know if there is some sort of "ultimate cosmic reality" or not. We have no proof one way or the other if God really exists, or if we are the creators of God; if we are the observers or the observed.

I think one of the points of the movie is that it is up to each individual as to whether he is the observer or the observed.

Thanks for asking. If you have more questions, please let me know.

Stu
