It is my splurge magazine every month. We live 2 hours from the nearest Barnes and Noble so sometimes I' panic and make someone go pick it up for me to hold so I dont miss it! It is a wonderful blend and I love the english country style.

I have read Country Living for years (and saved all the copies until hubby made me downsize!) but I was unaware of the British edition - I will definitely be making a trip to Borders.

Country Living (British edition) is much better than our version --- and that's coming from someone who has saved almost every issue of CL for years. The spring issue featuring a home based business (free range chicken eggs to create organic baked goods) is a keeper.

I'm going to have to remember to look more carefully at barnes & Noble again, i don't get there often, but I remember reading a rave of this magazine in this forum before, but I must have gotten there too late, and then of coure, it disappeared from my mind. I'll have to wirtie it down in my little notebook that I keep in my purse...Thanks for the reminder...

I have been obsessed with anything english since I was five years old. Thanks for telling me about this. This is a must have. Hopefully I can find it over the weekend.

It is the most wonderful magazine. I can't do without it. My girlfriend just came to visit from home and brought me the latest issue. I can't wait to sit down and just wallow in it!

Mrs Morgen........I truely understand! I love that magazine! And, like you, I live in fear I will miss my MONTHLY fix. I usually run to Borders but they only have about 4 copies of it. We also live far away and the nearest Borders is 1 and 1/2 hour drive. Isn't the magazine so awesome! So much better the CL the US version. They don't even COMPARE! It is wonderful! Glad to know I'm not the only lover out there of CL UK..........

I just got a magazine at Borders about English Cottages. I love it. It is titled The English Home. Is this the one you are talking about? If not, there are two! I am going to look for the other one. This one is published in Edinburgh. It is really good.

Wow! I've never heard of it before! I'm going to look for it the next time I'm at B & N! Thanks for the tip!

I too like it better than ours! I think it's much more environmentally informative than the U>S> one. I always look at it in Barnes and Noble and if something really strikes my eye I buy it! Susan

Hey gal pals! I see it in the Paris airport when we are waiting to board the plane to head to Norfolk. It is really great, like you said. Lots of luck if you can subscribe to it without taking out a second mortgage. Hugs, Nance

I LOVE this magazine and have saved back copies for about two years now. It focuses more on country and rural lifestyle than just decorating ideas. I love the features on rural women entrepreneurs. Great recipes - the only trick is converting metric measurements to tablespoons and cups.

I tell my husband that yes, the magazine is more expensive than others on the stand, but I am actually saving him money. I may find something wonderful in the magazine, but rats! the company is in England and the shipping would be outrageous so I pass. <grin>

I've learned that it takes as much time and energy to wish as it does to plan.

Yes, I've been buying it each and every month for about 3 years. You can subscribe, but it's about $150.00...so go ahead :)
Having lived in England, it makes more sense to me than "our" country living...decorative lifestyle whatever...

I like it better than ours. ( but you did not hear me say that.) Our B&N only stocks a few copies, so I go early to make sure I get one.
