We always have one going....

Just finished, Man of the Family by Ralph Moody.
So good, made us laugh, cry, think & work with a happy heart.

Currently reading, Prince Caspian by CS Lewis.
We read the books that have movies coming out that the kids want to see. This one is short & fun.

What are your favorite family read alouds?

Blessings,

We haven't read chapter books aloud. We're reading the original Beatrix Potter tales right now. So far we've read Squirrel Nutkin and Mrs. Tiggywinkle. Emily, who is 8, is reading aloud and LOVES them. She reads with so much expression. I love listening to her.

Read aloud is part of our day. We have homeschooled a long time, over 2 decades.
We remember where we were by the books we have read. Very cool.
Camping in the mountains - Heidi
Living in a new to us small log home that we were remodeling - Swiss Family Robinson
Playing legos for days - Indian in the Cupboard
Canning, time in front of fireplace, making soap, etc. - Little House on the Prairie Series
Matching 1000's of sock - Pride & Prejudice
Starting our mornings - Man of the Family
Christmas baking - Candy Shop War

So much fun!!!!

We loved Ginger Pye, and Prince Caspian, and the Laura Ingalls books. My youngest just said he liked the Magician's nephew most.
This is a great list to start, thanks

I am beginning to learn that it is the sweet, simple things of life which are the real ones after all..
