I was browsing the library shelves the other day and ran across a book titled Aprons on the Clothesline. Now you KNOW I had to pick it up...but it is book three in a series so I picked up the first book which is A Can Of Peas by Traci DePree. I am only about half way through it but it is really good - about a "city girl" who is helping her husband run a farm. I think it would be great reading for all of you on these dreary winter days and I look forward to the other books in the series.

I just went right to Amazon and ordered A Can of Peas. I will no doubt be ordering the next one soon. I have two books ready to start reading now (Mr. And Mrs. Cugat and Bachelor's Puzzle) and then I will be ready when this one comes..thanks so much for the recomdation!

Yes, the second is "Dandelions in a Jelly Jar" and the third is the "Aprons on a Clothesline". Traci Depree is a Christian author but I didn't find these as hokey as books by Oke or Morris. You know what I mean, in those books the Christian slant can sometimes go way overboard (and I am Christian but find some books just too "fluffy").

I just checked Google and the 2nd book is called 'Dandelions in a Jelly Bar'. The other interesting thing is that Traci DePree is a Christian author.

Interesting tidbits.

I enjoyed both of the ones you mentioned. I can't remember if I read the third... what is the title?
