Posted - Jan 30 2008 : 7:37:24 PM I'm re-reading Women Who Run with the Wolves by Clarissa Pinkola Estes. I skimmed it in college, but it didn't really grab me. I'm enjoying more this time - maybe because I'm more in touch with my inner "wild woman"!
Has anybody else read it - liked it or not?

Posted - Feb 02 2008 : 9:21:18 PM i have it around here somewhere .. i think when i read it .. or parts of it .. it also didn't GRAB my attention .. except for the story of LaLoba .. the BONE WOMAN! of my gosh .. i read that story at one of our doll club gatherings and then challenged all the girls to make LaLoba dolls. SUCH IMAGINATION! GREAT DOLLS came out of this! HA! you shoulda' seen me one day when i discovered a poor little dead bird on the sidewalk .. and pictured me defeathering and picking dead bird bones for this doll! COULDN'T DO IT!!! sooo .. i just bought a chicken .. boiled it .. and used 'chicken bones'!

Posted - Jan 31 2008 : 07:51:42 AM I read a few years back. I really loved it so much that I bought copies for my cousin, sister and mom!
I love deadlines. I especially like the whooshing sound they make as they go flying by. ~anon |
