I just came across this lovely little book by Mary Jo Hiney, "Sewing Vintage Style" and I love it. it's a couple of years old and available on Amazon as well as from it's publisher
http://www.thegmcgroup.com/item--Sewing-Vintage-Style--ST-SEWING-10.html
It is full of sweet vintage projects. Ive got MaryJane's Stitching room (which if you don't have it skip right up to the top of the board and pick it up) and this book sitting on my desk. I highly recommend it just for the vintage crafts alone, all of the beautiful pictures just make it a real find.

Amazon has them used and new as well as some of her other books. I am a shameless book hussy,I swear . I loooooooove books. I'm trying to build up a good craft library of only those books that I will actually use, but it's so hard to resist them when they have such purty pictures

You girls have a good night =)

Uh-oh, think I'm gonna have to get one. I love the pincushion on the cover, want to know more about the Dutch laundry sack, sewing tool keeper, the boudoir envelope,...on and on...
Thanks for posting that Annika.

*G* I wish I could just hand it through my monitor and show everybody, we need to start a farm girl lending library.
there is ~
A sewing tool keeper
Baby shoe pincushions
vintage tuffets
organza pintucked pillows
A Dutch laundry sack
Childrens embroidered smocks and sundresses
A darling felted purse pincushion (which is going to be one of my first felting projects)
The flower pincushion from the cover
A crazy quilt sewing case
An elegant quilted and beaded purse
A trapunto Boudoir Envelope
A knitting needle keeper
An echo quilting hearts and tulips bag (very dainty)
and just a lot more, plus all of the ideas from looking at the pictures.
It's a nice book really. I'm thinking of getting a couple of copies and a few of MJF books for gifts, just to have on hand. I have a quick gifts bin in my linen closet that needs adding to =)
