Posted - Oct 21 2007 : 2:07:13 PM Some of the questions are hard to figure out. Like who is my best friend????? There wasn't an appropriate answer for that. My husband is my best friend.
Denise, I have read Northanger Abby. I like that one. My favorite though, is Persuasion. Anne Elliot is my all time favorite character. I love the book, don't like the movie. I love Pride & Prejudice. I respect Mansfield Park, and I know it's her best work. I love the BBC series of Pride & Prejudice (Colin Firth and Jennifer Ehle). I kind of liked the movie with Keira Knightly because the visual scenery and the realism of the time period was great, but I didn't care for the way they did the story, I was a bit disappointed. I love Sense & Sensibility w/ Emma Thompson and Kate Winslet. It was perfect.

Posted - Oct 14 2007 : 08:58:54 AM I'm heading over to take the quiz now, thanks for the fun link!
Did anyone see the film Becoming Jane (http://becomingjane-themovie.com/)? I went with some girlfriends a few weeks ago and we all fell in love with it! Of course it's a fictionalized account of her "true love," but such a beautiful film - go see it if you can! ![](icons/icon_smile.gif) |

Posted - Sep 29 2007 : 08:16:11 AM Funny that there are so many Elinors - I guess all farmgirls are practical and sensible! I think my favourite is Mansfield Park, which is the most unpopular of her novels. I am not sure why it is my favourite, as Fanny can actually be very annoying at times. Next would be Sense and Sensibility - I do love Elinor! Has anyone seen Becoming Jane? It is out on DVD here soon. Best wishes, Jayne |

Posted - Sep 13 2007 : 08:58:31 AM I just read Persuasion this summer and I liked it. I'd find it hard to choose between Persuasion, Emma, and Pride & Prejudice. I think I like Emma the most, but there are so many film versions of Pride and Prejudice that it's reinforced more strongly in my mind. I just saw the famous miniseries this summer also! Liked it better than the new movie. |

Posted - Sep 13 2007 : 08:04:29 AM My favorite is Persuasion--of course, I love the book, but I really love the BBC Production with Keiran Hinds as "The Colonel"...he's really dramatic, and it's sweep-you-off-your-feet lovely with swooning and everything!
I also really love Sense and Sensibility.
