I'm part of a group that swaps books online. It's called paperbackswap.com. They have tens of thousands of books...(not all paperback, either!) The way it works is, you list books you want to give away, and you get a credit each time someone requests one. Then you can spend your credit on the book of your choice. You pay the shipping when you send a book...but they pay the shipping when you request a book. I've gotten a lot of really great books like this, for just the cost of the shipping! Interesting. One could just leave a book anywhere without becoming too involved--but then again it would be fun to see where the book has traveled. MB
