Raphael, whose post in the Beautiful City is that of choirmaster .. his pupils .. fun-loving cherubs who never quite learn to act the part of little angels .. among them efficient Lemuel, the leading tenor in Heaven's Hallelujah Choir, who returns to earth with Raphael on Christmas Eve of this very year.
