This is with a very sad and heavy heart that I must post this.

Krista heard from Marlene’s Daughter this morning and as she is going out of town she ask me to post it.

“This Marlene's daughter. She has taken a turn for the worst. We have asked that no life saving measures be done. “

Sending with prayers for Marlene and her family.

Big Hugs,
Debbie

Marlene wrote to me often, and I kept her letters as far back as last September. Her family was very important to her. She loved watching the waves on beaches when they wintered in Florida, going to flea markets, reading, listening to bluegrass gospel music, baking and gardening.
We traded recipes and the last recipes she sent included the Zucchini Brownies, which will always remind me of her.
She was generous and kind and will be missed.

That is beautiful Wanda Sue, thank you for sharing it with us.
Marlene was so sweet and kind, and she loved to write little stories or poems in her cards for our Card Swaps. She was raised on a farm in Iowa and thought of the days fondly as she loved it.
Here is a photo of her that I got from her obituary, such a lovely lady. You will be missed Marlene by your Farmgirl Family.

We never know what tomorrow brings, so live today like it’s your last! I post this in loving memory of Marlene.
I had her as a swap partner several times, but never really got to know her. Some of you were very close and knew her for years.
Maybe you could share more stories or memories of Marlene here or start another page. Thinking of her family with love and prayers this weekend as they say their final goodbyes.
