Last week I lost my fiancee in a motorcycle accident. We had the service and funeral yesterday. I was touched by the number of people who came out to see him off. He was a dedicated Christian and we know he's with Jesus now, but the rest of us here are still hurting. We never were officially engaged but we were planning a wedding, and his mom gave me the ring he had for me.

Thank you all so much.
It took a couple weeks to get back to a normal routine but I am mostly back now, eating and sleeping fine and back at work. I'm still going through the house and finding homes for his stuff, and his parents still have more to come pick up. But I have a lot of help from my parents and friends and nobody is letting me be too bored :)
The one thing that has made everything easier is that he was a Christian, and always said he wouldn't mind when it ended because he'd get to be with Jesus. So even though he's not here, I know he's alright now and not hurting. I know both our families have had a lot of people praying for us and some days it's like I can feel them all around me like hugs.

Rachel,
I am sorry to hear from your loss. The best possible way of getting through this is to put your head in Jesus's lap and let him give you the comfort that he can. I will pray that you can find peace, love, and remember all the good times the two of you had. Everyone is here for you, trust in that.
Hugs

Rachel,
When I read the news my heart sank. I can't imagine the pain you must be enduring. Please know I am thinking and praying for you to sense Gods love, peace, comfort and presence. I was taught a while ago by our then pastor that only god can fill that loss you are experiencing. I am praying he will be even closer to you as you go through this season. I hope you have a better day each day.
