Posted - Nov 28 2015 : 06:46:25 AM Hi Girls,
One of my dearest friend's moms is one of the neatest ladies. She raised a family all by herself when her husband died suddenly 30 years ago, took care of her home and swimming pool (for her grandkids) all by herself, walked four miles everyday...
Then a year and a half ago went for a routine physical only to find aggressive, bad, rare cancer. They told her she wouldn't make it to last Christmas.
She is the grandmother of one of my daughter's closest friends, and my dd loves this lady. Such a strong woman.
But now cancer is winning. She may have days, weeks...who knows. Not fair! I've witnessed this strong, beautiful lady waste away, and her daughter care for her every minute. Such a loving pair.
So if you are saying your goodnight prayers, could you pray for this lovely lady and her beautiful family? Cancer is just so awful!

Posted - Dec 14 2015 : 07:36:29 AM My friend's mom passed a few hours after they got her home. No more suffering. But, God forbid I ever be in that situation, I hope my daughter is as dedicated as my friend was to her mom. It was beautiful to see how much she cared for her until the very. last. minute. We should all be so blessed.

Posted - Dec 05 2015 : 1:11:25 PM My poor friend. Her mom is being taken off any and all treatment. I have no words for her except that let me know what I can do, and big hugs and prayers. My heart goes out to her and I can't believe how this illness has taken her mom like it has. Cancer is awful!

Posted - Nov 28 2015 : 08:13:31 AM I feel so bad for my friend and her kids. Her mom has been such a constant in their lives and she certainly gave a good fight, but the doctors say there is nothing more to do. She is in the hospital.
Makes us think how everyday we have is such a blessing...
