Late last week I had a mammogram done. Well, yesterday they called back and said that they saw something on both breast images that were suspicious. Now I need to go and have another procedure (not sure exactly) at a bigger facility that is about 45 minutes a way. My appointment with them is October 27th. I am feeling nervous but trying to stay calm. Any prayers would be greatly appreciated.

Thank You.

OK for now! Count that as a plus. I have heard that our bodies are always fighting little glitches and often take care of them on their own. Those spots are small so enjoy life as it is and don't borrow problems(worry) that may turn to nothing.

Julie - Please forgive me! When I posted earlier today, I only saw posts through October 26th... I wasn't able to see anything after that! (Trouble with my computer, I'm afraid!) I'm sorry! I know that this next wait is not going to be easy, but it seems to be good news that they are going to wait 6 months! Keep the faith! I will be praying for you! Hugs - Nini

Julie, I hope that the mammogram retake in 6 months will be a clear release. Although it keeps you worried until then, we will all keep you in our thoughts and prayers that nothing serious is happening.

Krista, I will keep everyone updated in 6 months. I feel like it's still hanging up in the air yet by then not knowing for sure thing. But there isn't anything I can do about it.

Bonnie, Thanks.

Glad to see you have a smile on your face after this stressful time. I am relieved they are not concerned about what they have found. This should help put your mind at ease. Make sure to keep up posted as to what you find out in 6 months but I know there won’t be any changes!

Well, this is what the doctor said....Your mammograms from 2005 and 2006 do not look like the one just taken. There is a 1 centimeter object on each breast. They can not tell what it is, so they want me to come back in in 6 months from now and retake the ultrasound and mammogram to see if they have enlarged. Right now they do not believe it is cancerous but will know more in 6 months when they retake the mammogram and ultrasound. ugh...

Hello Julie. I will definitely be sending prayers and good vibes your way. At the first of this month my own mother had a breast cancer scare. This was tough on us since she had breast cancer back in 2011. She had her screening mammo that came back showing some calcifications that required her to have additional imaging. The next day she went in for a diagnostic mammo which confirmed the calcifications were really there and needed to be checked out. She then went in and had a stereotactic biopsy. Those results came back benign. It was such a relief. This scare can come back good. Keep your head high and think positive. Make sure to post updates.

Thank You Annika and Connie! You're right... The waiting is the worst part.... The weird part of it is, they said they wanted to see me right a way but then can't get me in until the 27th...
