DandeeRose	Posted - Jun 22 2015 : 1:30:06 PM :) I told her before we left yesterday maybe she could figure out how the camera worked on that phone so there would be pictures of her and her friends, etc... Well, later this morning she sent me a picture of her bunk. Made. Decorated! lol! See her flowers? And her book? Heck, she never makes her bed at home! Of course, the boys would only pull it apart. As they do made or not each day. :) This afternoon she said the did horse jumping and horse bobbing for apples....Not real sure about that one. Anyway, she was leading a half linger and the new girl on it kicked and spooked it and she got her toe stepped on, but she is fine, she texted with a :) . DandeeRose	Posted - Jun 22 2015 : 05:43:05 AM I am watching Matt carefully. I know Isabelle is with like minded people. The folks who own and run the camp are a homeschooling, Christian group. We met them at Civil War reenactments last spring and I have been FB friends with the main daughter who runs the camp since. I feel confident she will be fine! She sent me a text this morning at 7 (they are an hr behind, so 6 there). She woke up. Everyone else was still asleep. Red Tractor Girl	Posted - Jun 22 2015 : 05:33:34 AM Amy, trust that Isabelle will have a wonderful time. Camps are prepared to welcome children who are there for a first time experience. While it won't be a perfect experience, Isabelle will grow and strengthen just by challenging herself to do this. It is hard to hate everything when you are surrounded by other kids having fun swimming, doing crafts, laughing etc. I predict she will find a buddy or two who are just like herself and enjoy conversations and share interests. She will see that the time goes by quickly too! I hope Matt heals without problems. If you suspect trouble get him back to doctor for an evaluation right away. DandeeRose	Posted - Jun 21 2015 : 7:12:38 PM Thanks everyone! We decided to get her a go phone so she could call or text if needed. The camp recommended she bring a phone or calling card. On the way, we stopped an got one at walmart. And I went to work on the package as soon as we got in the truck. Matt handed me his pocket knife to open the pesky packaging, but took it away quickly. Guess he was worried I'd cut myself, or thought he could do it faster. Anyway, he slipped and stabbed his wrist. Clean to the bone, no blood. A trip to the urgent care and a stitch later, Isabelle was an hour and a half late. But she still got a choicey bunk! She just sent her first text! "Food is ok. Played games. Went over rules." :D We got home at 9PM it's storming here, she says it is storming badly there, too. Meanwhile, I have to get Matt up in 35 min for work. He has only had a couple of hours of sleep today. I am super worried. He is, too, about nerve damage in his wrist. He won't say that much, but the little he does say is enough.
