Posted - Apr 09 2015 : 01:52:31 AM I've been missing in action for quite awhile. My little hometown needs prayers. Due to IV drug use HIV has become an epidemic in our little town. There is only 4200 people libe here and 89 people have been diagnosed so far and the number grows daily. The governor and cdc has been here and we have been in a state of emergency. I don't live right in the city limits we have always lived in the country. News teams from all over the world are here daily. BBC news was here the other day smh. My heart breaks for the families that are suffering. Its just sad times here and we need God to bring healing and restoration. Thanks so much.
~~Blessings, Mikki Jo

Posted - Apr 18 2015 : 3:06:49 PM Thanks so much! Theres over 130 people diagnosed with HIV now by yesterdays count. I don't know when it will end. I believe that the Lord will use this to bring restoration and healing. Our churches have joined together and are having prayer walks. Ministrys for all involved are beginning to reach out. I'm hopeful.

Posted - Apr 09 2015 : 9:08:20 PM Yes it's been in the news everyday. National and world news. I expected something like this just not this bad. There are so many people addicted. My heart is so heavy for the town and all those touched by this. I guarantee almost everyone knows someone that has been affected by this in some way. Some people refuse to test even after their names have been given from another infected person. We have no rehab facility no drug counselors and the one dr we do have has fought to het one in but keeps getting turned down. Today at recess they made the 2nd graders wear "special gloves" is what the teachers called them. I know they found a needle the other day on the sidewalk. This may be why they made them wear gloves today I have no idea.
