Can I please ask for prayers for my oldest daughter and her four kids. She recently separated from the father of her fourth child. He is very abusive, and currently abusing drugs as well. She reached out to the Arms of Hope August of this year and has been blessed with a safe home, counseling, school for kids and college for her. Well last night he went looking for her and was successful at getting on premise but run off by staff. He is well known to pack and be strung out. So they have my DD and kids on lock down until Monday. But we fear now that he knows where she is he will return. Please pray God will stay with her and keep them all safe. We are praying he stays away from all family members as well.

Kelly,
Prayers are with you, your daughter and her children. Sometimes abusive men have an amazing talent for covering up, minimizing and convincing. It is common to convince the abused woman to trust and try again. Family and friends need to support your daughter and her need to remain safe.
I thoroughly believe that God can change people but that involves their acceptance of the change. This man sounds dangerous and without drug rehab as well, should not be trusted.
Hugs,
Susan

Yes, a restraining order is essential! His stalking will continue. Then at least the police authority is aware of this. Do not let anyone know where you are. Have your children not even tell their friends. I know about this because when I was in my 20's I had to escape an abusive husband who tried to shoot me. He also tried to kill himself. His thinking was in order to completely do away with him "self" I was viewed as an extension of that personhood, so he had to take me too in order to kill him "self" off. That is often why men kill their offspring along with their spouses, then themselves. No extension of their personhood left.
Be strong, be brave, be safe and pro-active.
Seek counseling so the trauma can be integrated and you can begin a new life. Do not sleep with the enemy in any form!
Annie

How scary for all of you! But God can indeed change his heart, and that is one of the things we are praying for. My kids refer to him when they are praying as the "man who makes bad choices"

Kelly, prayers for your family. Hate that your daughter is going through this. It is a worry like none other when our children and grand-children are threatened. God is with all of you as you go through this. It sounds like the place she is at is keeping her safe too.

It happened last night after hours. They have assured her not to be scared because they have dealt with this issue many times before. But I am so uneasy. No sleep last night. Praying and know God will not leave us. Thank you very much for prayers, it means so much to me.
