I am asking for prayers for everyone involved with Fort Hood. My oldest daughter and her family are there as my SIL is posted there. Everyone on-post was told to "Shelter in place" which is basically a lock down. My daughter finally heard from him and he is fine; however, people were trying to get on and off post which was making everything worse. Last I heard 14 injured and 4 dead.

Fort Hood is a very tough post - home of the 1st Cavalry Division. But it's only been 5 years since their last "domestic attack". These folks really need to be lifted up.

Thanks so very much.

I'm praying as well. Hadn't heard about this yet, and haven't had opportunity to read updates, but definitely praying.

Prayers for Ft. Hood and all there. I also pray that the process for helping veterans and current military members with mental and emotional problems be changed to give help before it is too late for the one suffering and others who may be around them!

Most definitely praying! As a military wife, it is hard to fathom "one of our own" turning on a "sister or brother in arms." Yet it is also hard to fathom what our military go through overseas! My hubby has been on numerous deployments/missions and REFUSES to talk about them with me, so that i do not have to endure the heartache and nightmares. Praying for Fort Hood as a whole, the families of Fort Hood, the families of the victims as well as the victims, and especially the family of the soldier that did this!

Prayers for all involved. My son was stationed there also, he retired in November, but still goes on base a lot.
