I have a friend who is now hanging out in Darrington, WA waiting for news. Her mother and father, daughter and her fiancee are missing due to the massive landslide. Their house was one house in from the river and it would have received over 30 feet of mud, at least. This small community has been hit hard. Homes and people, pets, livestock and any other living creature didn't know this was coming and have perished. I've never asked for help but I am now. I'd like people to donate to me some quilts. Quilts comfort and keep people warm. I don't have much money to send but I did send some. If anyone is interested in helping out, please email me. I will deliver the quilts about mid-April. If my request is out of line, I apologize. Just seeking help.

How sad. I just read on another post that there is also a fellow MJF farmgirl missing. My heart goes out to all the families and rescue workers affected by this disaster.
You are so kind to take it upon yourself to lead efforts to help your friends and neighbors in the Oso community! Unfortunately I don't have any quilts to offer you but I did make a donation to the American Red Cross to help with the Oso Mudslide rescue efforts.

Oh, Sylvia - I'm so sorry to hear this news. My heart is just aching for everyone. I can't help with quilts, but I will definitely keep everyone in my prayers. I think what you're doing is just wonderful and so loving. You really are a special farmgirl! Hugs to you, sister! - Nini
