I am asking prayer for 7 month old little Cydney.

About 2 months ago she started not being able to keep her food down and has had trouble ever since. The parents have taken her to the doctor and they are doing tests but not finding the reason for the problem.

She is still having eating issues, and of course they are worried very much so please send up prayers for Cydney and her family

Thank you so much

darlene

Darlene - GERD is gastroesophageal reflux disease, more commonly known as acid reflux. Adults get it, but it is quite common in babies, too. Here's a link where you can read up about it on MedicineNet.com: http://www.medicinenet.com/gerd_in_infants_and_children/article.htm ; and you can read more here at the Mayo Clinic's website: http://www.mayoclinic.org/diseases-conditions/infant-acid-reflux/basics/definition/con-20026253. My understanding is that it is quite common in preemies as well as babies who are born via scheduled C-section - usually before the mother has gone full term, but do not quote me on that. It's a miserable, miserable thing. Most children do grow out of it, but my goddaughter's GERD was so severe that it caused permanent problems for her. That is a rarity, though. Anyhow, I'm obviously not a doctor, but what you described really rang a bell with me. I hope it's not GERD, but maybe this information will help somehow. God bless her! Hugs - Nini

Darlene,

Keeping sweet Cydney in my prayers. What a scary things for a parent to go through. Praying they find out what is causing this soon and that they can keep her nourished so she can grow strong in the meantime.

Oh, poor precious little baby! She's in my prayers, Darlene! I pray that the Lord touch her and heal her completely! (Have they sad what it might be? Have they mentioned Gerd? My goddaughter had it so bad that they told her Mom she might not outgrow it for many, many years, if ever! It was a miserable time for her, but medicine and food adjustments really helped. Not fun at all.) Please keep us posted! Hugs - Nini
