Posted - Jan 29 2014 : 6:40:45 PM Our town of 1,600 people has had a hard time maintaining a hospital for the past 6-7 years. Yesterday we hear one of our two doctors was fired. It has created a panic beyond words. Rumors, misplaced blame and anger are rampant. I don't know the whole story, what I do know it is a threat to our community. We are very rural and already have a rapid decline in population. This is urgent and the community is in an uproar. I fear there is going to be a split in the community and we will not be able to over come adversity. We struggled a couple of years to recruit this hometown doctor to come home and serve us. People are shocked and did not see this coming. The administrator and hospital board are not talking and it is going to get crazy. I don't know if our town can survive with one semi-retired homegrown doctor we have retained and one PA under him. We have wonderful nurses with great work ethic and I shudder to think how they feel right now. Please pray for a miracle because I fear that may be what we need to keep our hospital. The closest hospitals will be 30 miles away if we lose ours. Anyone have a similar situation that was successfully resolved?

Posted - Jan 30 2014 : 4:36:25 PM I will be praying for your town. I'm so sorry to hear about what is happening. Thirty miles is so far to go for a hospital. It's difficult to imagine that. So sorry.

Just follow God unquestioningly. Because you love Him so, for if you trust His judgment there is nothing you need to know.
