I have had minor health problems since I was a teenager. In the past 5 years I have had major health issues and many surgeries. I found out I have Lyme Disease. Currently it is really rearing its ugly head. I am in a relapse, can't sleep, and feeling really tough. I have a phone consult with my DO in Denver tomorrow for some test results. Please pray that he will be enlightened and can find a protocol that works.

Thanks for all the prayers. I am waiting for the hospital to call to set up testing and surgery. It can't come fast enough.

Kem,
Prayers are on the way for your doctors' wisdom and guidance. It is well worth going to the best doctors for what is needed. I also am praying for your physical and emotional health through the stress and waiting, and that all will be settled and under control by Christmas if possible!!

Hugs,

Susan

Thanks for all the support. This stuff makes me depressed. I was doing pretty well until I started taking a drug for H Pylori, it seemed to kick this parathyroid thing back into action. I can't find a lot on the web to research it and see if I need to stay away from any drugs, foods, or whatever. My ENT told me there is nothing to do but have surgery. I am hoping they call Monday with date. I am more than ready to see if this helps. It would be a wonderful Christmas present if it could fix even half of my issues.

Went to ENT today who confirmed that I need more scans etc to see if we can locate the hyperparathyroid that was not removed. I think I will go to Omaha, Ne to a throat specialist that tries to find elusive parathyroids that can be in other places like the chest. They locate and remove. This stops the excess calcium and supposedly makes people normal. Been through so much, I am always skeptical. I have to get over that.

I am so sorry Kem. I am praying for healing of your body, to have the strength that you need day to day and for the rest that you need also. I am also praying that the doctors would have wisdom.

Thanks for all the prayers and hugs. It helps knowing there are people out there praying for me. Unfortunately I have been sick long enough most of my family and friends thinks "here she goes again". Makes me so sad. Shannon, I am sorry you are going through something similar. I can relate. The hormonal issues are not fun to deal with.

I posted on your other post, but will do so here as well. I have no answers, but am going down a similar path.... I will be having my adrenal gland removed due to a mass causing hyperaldosteronism. Then once that chills, I will possibly have two of my parathyroids removed, due to hyperparathyroidism.

Kem, I'm just sending hugs and sympathies. I'm terribly familiar with endless health issues. I hope and pray that you get some thing going to control and help fight these horrible issues *Hugs*

Sadly part of my test results are back and my hyperparathyroid is active. I had 3 of the four removed last year and issues have not resolved. Would love to hear others that have had this issue.
