Just wanted to ask for some healing thoughts. I had an emergency appendectomy on 11/21. Luckily it hadn't burst yet, but the surgeon said it looked like it could have gone at any moment it was so swollen. I went in to ER at 5 pm and was home before midnight. I didn't realize that's an outpatient surgery now. (so long as they don't have make a huge incision). I have 3 little incisions in my belly that hurt but are bearable.

Thank you! Happy Thanksgiving to everyone!

Lora,
I'm glad you are healing well and also scored some nice nice things on Black Friday!! Sounds as if things are going well- so happy for you!!

Thank you so much! I am healing quickly with only a few ouches every now and then. I removed the steristrips yesterday because they were bugging me so! Everything looks good and I have a follow up with the surgeon on Thursday. Thanksgiving was quiet. We weren't able to spend it with anyone but ourselves. We still managed to have a good dinner of deep fried turkey breast, green bean casserole, cranberries and mashed potatoes. My DH did most of the cooking as he wouldn't let me do anything except wipe up spills!

Friday we hit TSC early for their sale and we were shocked that there were only about 10 cars in the parking lot! I bought a much needed pair of boots and DH got the garage in a box he was wanting to put his boat in. He'll also be able to put his mower and his utility vehicle in it.

I had inquired about a craigslist ad for a Kindle Paper white and was able to make the purchase. I absolutely love it! Of course nothing beats an actual book, but I just love this thing! Absolutely perfect for traveling around as I used to haul a bag of books and magazines with me every where we went. Now I can take dozens with me and they all fit nicely in my purse! lol.

Much love to all!

Hi Lora,
Wow, so glad you caught that in time. I know you will need to recover, but I can only imagine you will start feeling so much better in the next few days. Best to you and take it easy for awhile.

Lora,
I'm glad to hear you are doing well and so glad you caught it in time to prevent bursting! That can be much more serious.
I had my appendix removed in my early 20's quite a few years ago. I know the incisions are a lot smaller now, but remember to be careful lifting for a while!
Happy healing!

Sending prayers your way. Thank goodness it was caught early enough,- still an emergency, though.

Lots of reasons to be extra thankful!
