Where do I start? I know every one here has woes mine are not the worst but i am stressing to the max.I just need a ear i guess.
My second daughter is 19 and pregnant she was doing her best to avoid her condition.Any how she has started out rough nausea started instantly.I had a quick trip to Bandon Oregon to get her,my first solo trip ever. The trip turned into a week and left us broke. We finally got her to a dock in Idaho they found 2 cysts one one either side of baby and one bigger than baby.
she vomits all day, all night and cant even keep water down.she has been admitted 4 times only to go home and vomit more she has 4 types of anti nausea meds and they only work while she sleeps a now at 13 weeks she has not gained an ounce of weight. She sleeps and won"t take food. We are so scared for her and I am at a los how can I help if the doctors say they cant do any thing more unless they admit her but all she has is medicaid and they do the least possible.Prayer or Ideas any thing at this point would be helpful we will try wives tales too.

Joanna,
I am sending up prayers for mom and baby and praying that mom gets over all the things she has had to deal with during and after her pregnancy. She has had a tough rode to go and I pray that it all calms down now.

hugs and you take care of yourself as well.

Jonna thanks for the update and congrats on the baby girl!!!So sorry your daughter has had to go through so much pain and sickness. You both must be mentally and physically drained. update: On April 13 my daughter had a beautiful baby girl 6lb 14oz 21and 34 in long shortly after Victoria Juliett was born they found that mommy and baby had different blood types, The baby spent 8 days in icu.A week later my Daughter Angel went in to the Er in terrible pain .3 weeks later and 4 trips to the er later we found out she had gallbladder failure.during her surgery the found a stone in her duct and transfer her to another hospital where they had the specialist to deal with the blockage. That hospital sent her home the next day even though she was not well at all.that night she began vomiting and could not stop,I took her in to the nearest E.R where the said she had a severe case of pancreatitis. Her lipace levels were twenty eight thousand nine hundred!!! they should be 79 to 400. after two weeks she is finally home and doing well trying to bond with baby and a mommy. Thank you all for your prayers they worked!

Jonna,

Awww....brought back bad memories. I was done with morning sickness with both of my kids. It lasted through the entire pregnancies. I know how she is feeling. Please give her love and tell her that I am thinking about her. All I can say is that the babies are worth it.

I don't know if this will help her but pineapple has an enzyme in it that calms the stomach. If she can't eat it get the juice and cut it 1/2 & 1/2 with water. This will also help her stay hydrated. Prayers for you all.

I was sick my entire pregnancy including during delivery & as soon as I had our son, I was not sick again. He has been the healthiest child I have ever seen! With the exception of 2 weeks, I think I was sick daily almost all day from the beginning. All meds they tried worked for about 2 weeks & then stopped. The one that did finally seem to help was mechlizine (?sp), it is for inner ear problems. I didn't have symptoms for my ears, but my ob gyn said, it's rare, but sometimes this med helps & it was our last option. This med helped & I finally felt good! Needless to say, our son is an only child. Good luck! I know it gets so frustrating when you can do nothing because you are so sick!

Thank you all Just knowing we are not alone is great.(wiping tears) So far we have had one day of no vomiting just nausea,Ginger docent help the smell gets her we got gummy prenatals. Have gotten to the point of waking her real early 6 am and giving her a spoon or two of cinnamon oat meal she takes the nausea medicine right away and sleeps awhile when she wakes up again she can get up and move around and such.We have a list of things she has not and can not keep down Dairy is a big one, bread is another So I am doing as much fresh clean veggies and beans as I can. I parked my glamper close to the house and plugged it in so she can have a fresh air hang out when I am cooking or some random smell sneaks in.We are adjusting this new dance around the Nausea life. Yesterday we took her to the YMCA and she hung out in the pool she said the weightlessness was helping allot. Your Prayers are working as soon as I posted her spirits lifted,I haven't even told her I shared our woes with MJ farms.Thank you Thank you.

Jonna,
Will pray for the tough time you all are going through. The Lord gives us nothing that we can't handle. Prayers for good health and the peace of mind that all mothers involved need. If your daughter needs a shoulder you can give her my email and I would love to write to her or send her a card.
Lots of sisters here Jonna.
love and peace,

Jonna,
Sending prayers for you, your daughter and baby.
Ginger and peppermint are very good suggestions.
I hope that this passes quickly, and that together you can work towards finding her good medical care, and peace for both of you.
Hugs,

Jonna,
I have no advice either, but I do agree with peppermint tea helping soothe the tummy.
I will be praying . . . and I know it's scary and very concerning.

I had severe sickness too. I found there were certain smells that would make it worse. if I kept still and had clean air I did better. perfumes, petroleum products, dog food, would make it worse. it is so great she has you to help. the prenatal vitamins made me very very sick. I had to go to a milder pill more often. I never tolerated their vitamins. just a few thoughts. hoping we can help her feel better. hugs love and a prayer for you all.

I had hyperemesis with all three pregnancies which included several trips to the hospital for dehydration and losing weight during the pregnancies. It is scary!

There are some sea sickness bands that she can wear around her wrists. They didn't help me, but did help some friends.

And a definite on the ginger. I had some candied ginger that I could chew on and by the third pregnancy, I pretty much lived on ginger tea and ginger ale that was made with real ginger. Peppermint tea also helped to soothe my tummy.

My doctor also had me taking more than the normal amount of prenatal vitamins since we weren't sure I was really keeping much down. My husband was such a huge help. If I so much as mentioned something that might taste good, he would keep it in the house. With my second pregnancy, pretty much the only thing I could eat was cold cereal in milk. (Plus, it didn't hurt too much when I got sick with it).

I could really tell when I was getting dehydrated though. As soon as that started, I really started feeling icky quickly. I hope this passes soon for her!

I do not have any advice - I've not been pregnant yet (hopefully in the not so distant future) but I will definitely be praying for you and your daughter. I don't know if it will help or not, but some peppermint tea helps to calm my stomach.
