The kids have notified me that the shelter is putting several dogs down tomorrow. If I decide, I may go and look and them today. Unfortunately, I cannot save them all, but we do have a "kill" shelter (which is frustrating).

I could use prayers on having a clear mind, as we really do miss our Gus, and know that another will not replace our dear friend.

I just want to make the right decision. Thanks.

I saw this on Facebook and really liked it. Maybe it will help. "Saving one dog from a shelter won't change the world, but it will change the world for one dog."

Kristina,

My thoughts and prayers are with you as you make a decision about getting another friend for your family...

As many of the farm girls know...my Sweet Kitty passed away almost 2 weeks ago...it has been the most heartbreaking thing I have ever dealt with when it comes to a pet...he was the only indoor pet I ever had...he was such a sweet and wonderful boy...he would melt your heart...I decided in his memory...that I will be getting another kitty...if I can save just one from being homeless or something worse happening to him...it is the least I can do...as anyone knows pets require a lot of time and care...but with the joy they bring and the unconditional love they give...it is worth any cost to take care of them and give them a safe and loving home...I had my Sweet Kitty for less than 4 years but at least he was in a safe and loving environment and being well taken care of in his short little life...there will never be another kitty like my Sweet Kitty...but I know when I get another one...he will find his own place in my families heart just like Sweet Kitty did...

I wish you the best in making your decision...

Hugs!

Judy
