I am at one of the public computers at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN. My husband just went in for a Nuclear Cardiology stress test that evaluates blood flow to the heart muscle, using a small amount of radioactive tracers. He started having chest pains this spring and a little over a month ago it got worse and he went to our local clinic. It has been a comedy of errors since then. Tests done at the hospital not being sent to the doctors, stall after stall.
Recently we found out that an old friend had a stoke while waiting for them to get their act together and had a heart attack a couple of months later. NO MORE waiting! He gets tired out with the slightest effort and that is so different than he has ever been. His doctor agreed to send him to Mayo for tests, 3 days and he should actually see a cardiologist about the test results.
Please keep him in your prayers, that they find out what is wrong and can get him back to doing the things he loves to do. He is going nuts not being able to work as usual and its the first time I've ever seen him afraid.

Wow, that was quick! Best to you both! Now it is every day getting better and feeling better. Yeah! Annie

I'm so glad you found out what was wrong and they've taken care of the problem so quickly. You are both in my prayers.

He's on the mend! This morning an angiogram was done and they found the need for 3 stents and got them places without any problems. He should be able to come home late tomorrow morning if all continues to go so well. Thanks for your kind words and prayers. I'm a bit limp feeling this evening but very happy.

Tests went well today. We had been home only a few minutes when we got a call, they said DH's test schedule for tomorrow has been changed. After the first test they found "an anomoly" and want him to talk to a cardiologist first thing tomorrow morning and then possibly have an angiogram which could mean they put in a stent right away if needed and he spends a night in the hospital or that they plan for a bi-pass. I hope we/they are on the right road to getting this figured out and fixed.

I'll be praying for him, too, Cindy. Have they mentioned bundle branch block at all?

I'm sorry that you are going through this Susan. I know it must be frustrating not getting any answers and for our guys to not be able to work or do things like they used to is tough on them. I am lifting up your husband for healing as the Lord wills, for the Doctors for wisdom in finding out what is going on. And for peace, comfort and strength for you and your honey.
