Hi all,

This past Tuesday my husband got his hand caught in his table saw while working on an Etsy order. He's had surgery, which went well. Miraculously he gets to keep all 5 fingers though his ring finger was barely hanging on. It was horrific gals and I'm still trying to stop reliving the scene.

We just started our farm. We are quite scared what this could mean as we are only two people. We have friends who will help but one thing I've learned is that prayers, good wishes, hogs and quiches never ever hurt at a time like this.

Please, with your large, generous farmgirl hearts, think of us. Thank you in advance and best to all of you.

Love,
Patty

Went to the doctor to day for a post-op follow-up. His hand looks sooooo much better. No feeling in the worst of the fingers. Doc says in three years his worst ones should feel warmer, more normal.

Thank you so much for the prayers and thoughts and positive energy! If I know my husband, he'll take what is supposed to be a 3 month recovery time and chop it in half. He's somethin' else.

Thanks again ladies. We are (both) on the road to recovery.

I have often worried that this would happen to my hunky hubby. God Bless you and him on a speedy recovery!

Patty,
I am praying for your husbands quick recovery and so thankful that he did not loose and fingers. I had a friend who had a very similar accident and he lost the tips of 2 fingers, but has adjusted beautifully.
Sending hugs and prayers your way.

Prayers are with you, of thankfulness that it wasn't worse, of hope that it heals well and fast. It will be tough through the healing period that he doesn't try to do more than he can safely. What a scare that must have been!

Hi Patty
My prayers are with your husband to heal fast and to get back to sawing as soon as possible. Prayers for you to be able to not remember so vividly what happened.
When I was little my dad caught a finger in his saw and lost the tip of it but when he was healed he was back at it.
Take care

Oh my--that would be most horrific. I'm so glad it wasn't as terrible as it could have been, still, difficult and so very scary!

Will be in my thoughts and prayers!
