Another update...she's out of ICU, and being given an IV for the infection. Not sure when she gets to leave yet.

I just got a phone call that his sister is in ICU with some sort of infection. They have postponed the transplant. Thanks for your prayers.

Hubby's sister is finally getting her kidney transplant. It is scheduled for Friday, June 14th. They approved her sister's daughter to donate. Please keep both in prayer. TIA.

Oh Kristia,
I will keep your family in my prayers. The delay has to be so darn disappointing. Please give your sister a hug for me, and we will all help to keep her spirits up.
Praying!!

If you don't see an update for awhile, it's because she must wait "at least" another month before they will even consider the transplant. She is most likely very depressed, so Hubby is going to visit her. She was released and is home now. Thanks for praying.

I'm not sure what's going on just yet. We may be going up to visit her, but there was talk that the hospital may keep her there until the infection subsided and then go ahead with the transplant. Now they are saying she'll be released. I'll try to update again when I find out what we are doing.

How hard, all the waiting and then being stopped at the last minute! But it is a wise decision to keep everything as safe as possible. I'm praying that the infection is handled fast and thoroughly and the procedure can happen soon!

Prayers for hubby's sister and her daughter. It is scary, but yet exciting at the same time. There is a lot of success in transplants these days.
